Welcome Message

Dear Friends in the academic mission,

Rev. Fr. Theodoro Peters, s.j., President of “Pe. Sabóia de Medeiros” Ignatian Educational Foundation, institution accompanying FEI University, the Rector and the administrators express  their joy to welcome you in the very heart of  São Paulo, dynamic megalopolis of Southeast Brazil, from July 23rd to 27th 2012,  on the occasion of the 24th IFCU General Assembly.

Under the topic “Teaching and Learning in a Catholic University – Educating and Training”, we will have the opportunity to share experiences about the educational challenges of the new contemporary society. We will revisit the role of Catholic universities as institutions fomenting the integral education of the individual and dialogue among the nations, able to break boundaries and eradicate social inequalities.

By believing for 70 years that the sole quality education allows to build a society that is developed, sustainable and fair, FEI University is proud of opening its doors to the Catholic Universities of the world and hopes that the same, inspired by the Divine Wisdom, would be in a condition to contribute to the promotion and the formation of human values.

The challenges we face from the new social and professional relationships are so diverse that they require that the education institutions define a joint and universal agenda of actions enabling them to assume a proactive and innovative role in the current society. This is the spirit that must guide our work throughout our meeting.

You can be sure that the Organizing Committee and our FEI Academic Community are doing their best  so that all IFCU affiliates have the opportunity to be with us in São Bernardo do Campo next summer, where they will be the most welcomed and will find a conducive environment to hold conversation and discussion on topics of high interest.

Looking forward to meeting you soon, we remain at your disposal for any practical information you may need.

Prof. Dr. Fábio do Prado
Rector of FEI University
